Building Safety Month is a global campaign held each May to highlight the importance of building safety and the role updated building codes play in protecting communities.
The initiative, led by the International Code Council, promotes awareness around creating safe, sustainable spaces for people to live, work, and play. Building Safety Month emphasizes the critical role building codes and code officials play in safeguarding against disasters and ensuring resilient structures in every community.
